Hearthcrown is a game. This page says what the game stores about you, why, and what you can do about it. In short: we keep what's needed to save your game and run its worlds and market, we don't show ads, and we don't sell or share your data.
What we store
- Your account. When you start playing you get an anonymous account. If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier and the email address that service shares with us, so you can get your character back on another device.
- Your game. Your character's name and look, where you are in the world, your items, Crowns, skills, quests, the worlds you've joined and the market orders and trades you make.
- How the game is played. Gameplay events (for example joining a world, entering an area, finishing a quest step or a fight), so we can find what's confusing or broken and make the game better. These are tied to your character, not to your name or email.
- Technical records. Our servers keep short-lived logs (such as IP addresses and errors) to keep the game running and secure.
- Error reports. When the game or our server hits a problem, a report goes to Sentry, our error-tracking service (stored in Germany): what went wrong, the app version, the kind of phone system, and your character's id, never your name or email. We use them only to find and fix bugs.
What we don't do
- No ads, no ad tracking, and no tracking across other apps or websites.
- We don't sell your data or share it with anyone for their own use.
- The game doesn't ask for your location, contacts, photos or microphone.
Who handles it
The game's data is stored by Supabase (database and sign-in, in Ireland), the game server runs on Fly.io (in London), error reports go to Sentry (in Germany), and this website is served by Cloudflare. They process it only to provide those services to us. Other players see what's part of the game: your character's name, look and actions, and your market listings.
How long we keep it
As long as your account exists. Guest accounts that are never used again may be removed. During testing we may reset the game's worlds and economy. When an account is deleted, its character and everything it owns, its world, friends and play history are deleted at once; the game's record of trades and item changes keeps the numbers, with no name attached, so the economy still adds up.
Your choices
You can delete your whole account yourself, in the game: Settings, then "Delete my account". You can also ask us to show you, correct or delete your data by emailing [email protected]. We'll answer within 30 days.
Children
Hearthcrown isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has an account, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
